Honkai Impact Sound Design
The sound design for this video was done by me for my Professional Audio Techniques For Studio Module's graded exam assignment.

Upon receiving the video, it had no sound and so I decided to watch the actual video online for inspiration and to also think about how I would like to do the sound design and what music I could use that would be appropriate to represent what's happening on screen.
Afterwards, I split the video up into different sections by scene such that I could do my spotting session with ease and could focus on the smaller sections which would make up the video as a whole. During spotting, I decided for the sound effects to have a more dramatic/unrealistic flair to them such that it would add to the animation aspect of the trailer. As for the dialogue, my classmates and I came together to record my voice and another classmate's voice for the two characters.

As for the music, I wanted to have two pieces of music, one that had a ominous sound to it to fit the current situation at the start of the video where the protagonist is awaiting the antagonist's arrival and another more action type of vibe to fit the moment the protagonist finally comes face to face with the antagonist towards the end of the video.

In terms of Digital Signal Processing, I used different types of effects such as reverb to help give the sound effects some atmosphere, Flanger for a more robotic/laser like sound for certain sound effects such as the call of the dragon in the video, etc.

After the sound effects and music were all in place, I mixed their levels to ensure that they pair well with each other and allow both the music and sound to co-exist without them clashing/fighting for space.
